Are You Really Sure You Want to Do This?

There are some conditions required for working with us…

You must have clear goals

You have clear goals

If you don’t know where you’re going, how will you know if and when you’ve arrived?

If you don’t have clear, targeted goals, or aren’t prepared to work with us to help you articulate them, please let’s not waste each other’s time.

You have an audience

If we’re developing a website for you and you don’t already have an online audience, be prepared to build one. There is no other way to generate new customers online.

Sometimes, it seems like almost everyone we talk to is looking for some magic bullet when it comes to building an audience. Sorry to disappoint you, but there are no such things as magic bullets. It takes work and you must have the commitment to do what it takes.

Doing what it takes means blogging, participating in social networks and forums, podcasting, conducting interviews, giving away white papers or eBooks, making presentations, speaking, and educating others.

You must have an audience

You must have passion icon

You are passionate

Are you passionate about your business? Do you have the love in your heart and fire in your bosom to keep going when things get tough?

Building an online business is hard work. It is not a field of dreams where “if you build it, they will come.” There will be days when you just feel like throwing your computer against the wall and calling it quits. If you don’t have the passion and joie de vivre to keep going and make things work, then please step aside and watch us as we help change the world.

You have a team

As an army of one, Rambo tore up the silver screen. But alas! Rambo is imaginary, a persona we met in David Morrell’s novel First Blood (1972) who was brought to life by Sylvester Stallone in a movie of the same name (1982).

There’s a reason military commanders don’t send a single soldier into battle against overwhelming odds in real life. They send squads, platoons, companies, battalions, etc.. In other words, they send teams. Armies of one burn out, and rather quickly.

If you are an army of one, you’ll have a hard time convincing us to take on your project. We hate seeing people meltdown. Please do us all a solid by assigning a team to work with us. It could be as simple as a virtual assistant to help out a few hours a week or a fully-fledged content production team, either way you’re going to need help if we’re going to achieve success together.

You have a team to help you

You must have the commitment

You have commitment

Project delays, rework due to poor requirements, budget overruns, and other impediments due to your lack of commitment are unacceptable to our process.

If we work together, you have our 100% commitment and we demand your 100% commitment so things don’t go wrong, or if they do, get resolved straight away. If we find that you are distracted away from this project, we shall FIRE you as our client.

If this bothers you, please walk away now and find someone else to work with. We’re not a good fit for each other.

You have budget

Building a great website or business application requires investment, not only in terms of time and commitment, but in cash, too. That’s just the way life works!

We do not work for equity in your start-up or for promises of future revenue. We are not interested in profit-sharing arrangements or investing our sweat equity into any business or project other than our own. We do not cut corners and appreciate when invoices are paid on time.

You don’t have to refinance your home or take out a business loan, but if you really want to hit one out of the park with this project, you have to treat it as an investment. Listen to what we tell you, and you will receive a positive return. It worked for E. F. Hutton1, didn’t it?

You must have budget to complete the project
