Our Process

Follow Our Process and Get Results

What do we know about process? Well, let me think…, our chief cook and bottle washer, Victor M. Font Jr., literally wrote “The Book” on software development processes. The Book is a wildly popular resource and has found use as a text in a few College/University computer science classes.

If you’d like, you can even buy a copy right now either from us here or from Amazon. But as much as we’d enjoy that, our process is not about selling you a fantastic book and leaving you to your own devices. Our process is about applying what we know works to help guide your success with your digital online presence and marketing strategy. We have a 100% success rate for delivering projects on time and budget, if you follow our process.

The Magician’s Secret: How It All Works

Discovery

Discovery is the single-most important step to uncovering the truth about why you need a website or software application and exactly what it is you’re trying to achieve. Some of the questions we have to ask may seem a little daunting, but getting to the details as early as possible is key to the project’s success.

Once we have all the information we need, we’ll build a visual sitemap so we can all agree very quickly what it is we’re trying to communicate and the best way to structure the information. Here’s an example.

Project Prototype Phase

Prototype

At this point, instead of trying to tell you what we intend to build hoping you understand the lingo, we’ll build an interactive prototype that you can test drive in your browser so we can fine-tune how the solution will work. Your prototype pays no attention to design, colors, images, or content at this stage. It isn’t pretty, but it gets us close really fast.

Coding

This is where the fun begins. During the design phase we get to play with our finger paints to bring your interactive prototype to life to match your brand identity.

Launch

Last, we’ll stay out of your way for a couple of weeks to make sure everything is plugged in and tested before deploying your website to your web host. It’s time to go unleash your pride and show it off to the entire world.
